MG* Designer of the Week: Calvin Klein!

I've always had a clear design philosophy and point of view about being modern, sophisticated, sexy, clean and minimal. They all apply to my design esthetic. -- Calvin Klein in Women's Wear Daily.

Material G! Spy!

Kelly Rowland- Kelly we see you taggin' the wall! Kelly looks nice as usual in the pic. MG* spotted her in her Hometown of Houston, TX coming from an interview with the Mad Hatta. She was there promotin her new album which MG* thinks is gonna be hot. Watch out Bee, Kelly's comin for the number 1 spot!

Lil Kim- MG* recently spotted Kim in NYC the other night at club Reign. She looks like she's hangin' out with her bee hive, just tryna have fun. Go Kim!

Beyonce- When you see that girl comin back up! Bee was spotted on stage in Sydney earlier this week, and by the looks of things she was rockin a Tina Knowles original. ;) She was shakin' her jelly as usual and will soon be in a town near you. So we can re-live B'day all over again!

MG* Quote of the Week: Halle Berry

"What's the worst that can happen? If it doesn't do well I can put on my big girl panties, deal with it and move on."
-Halle Berry

Also, CONGRATULATIONS! Halle, on your new Hollywood star!

MG* New Music Review: Eve!

Just in case you don't watch TV One daily and you actually miss Eve, the pitbull in a skirt is back! In the words of Tyra, her new single cover is fierce. As for the actual song, it's a certified club song. But, it's definitely not what we're use to from Eve. Swizz Beatz produced this track and he delivers as usual, but, Eve seems like she has come a long way from her Philly roots.

MG* needs a second opinion, what do you think?

TOP 5 VACATION SPOTS FOR SUMMER 2007

TOP 5

VACATION SPOTS FOR

SUMMER 2007

1. TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

Welcome to Trinidad and Tobago, a unique Caribbean paradise. There is no place in the world quite like this tiny twin island republic of 1.3 million ethnically diverse people. Bursting with spirit and a heady mix of cultural activities, beautiful people, eco adventure and culinary delights, Trinidad and Tobago has something for everyone. Located just off the tip of Venezuela, Trinidad, the larger and livelier of the islands, is an industrial giant boasting exciting nightlife, a robust energy sector and growing manufacturing industry. 2. PUNTA CANA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

Play in the waves, relax under a swaying palm: one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean, the lovely Punta Cana shoreline is protected by law, ensuring that no manmade structure can detract from this natural beauty. These calm tranquil beaches are perfect for those who love to enjoy their favourite watersport, sample the great diving. Punta Cana is famous for its European style hotels and shopping for traditional local arts and crafts. Punta Cana's golf courses are second to none. (http://www.webdominicana.com/albums)

3. MONTEGO BAY, JAMAICA

Being the Second City in Jamaica is not easy; it is like being the second child in a family, not always first, not really last, but you get to wear the hand-me-down's from your older brothers or sisters. So not everything gets fixed in time, roads and other infrastructure need repair. HOWEVER we have always been the Tourism Capital of JAMAICA and nobody can take that away from us. Because the Montegonians are proud people, always different from the Kingstonians, the Big City people; we call ourselves "The Republic" and "The Friendly City" and that's what we are. (http://www.montego-bay-jamaica.com/about.htm)

4. CANCUN, MEXICO

A Cancun vacation means long stretches of white beaches leading to the bluest waters of the Caribbean Sea making it a top destination for beach lovers. The Cancun 'Hotel Zone' offers luxurious hotels that provide a great base for daytime activities such as snorkeling by the reef or lazing on the beach to an unsurpassed night of fun with some of the best nightlife in the world. Downtown Cancun is the place to go for authentic Mexican food and to see the life and culture of 'real' Mexico. Plenty of tours, nightclubs, restaurants, water sports and ancient Mayan ruins in near proximity mean there is something for everyone. (http://www.cancuncare.com)

5.
SOUTH BEACH, FLORIDA

There’s no doubt that Florida makes a fun vacation destination for travelers of all disposition, but a certain type of person probably isn’t satisfied with common scenes of golf courses, beachcombing and quiet strolls along nearly-empty sidewalks. These kinds of areas are perfect for those looking to escape the madness of the world, but sometimes a different kind of madness does the job just as well. South Beach is famously filled with energy, nightlife options, celebrity sightings and beautiful people. If these are the things that would best take you away from your current situation, providing you with the kind of vacation you need to calm you down and loosen you up, there’s no place like South Beach. Pictured above, are our budget picks. Lately, we've been noticing the peep toe trend in shoes and we love it! It's HOT!We've also been realizing that designers are beginning to incorporate a lot more patent leather in their designs. And that's kinda cool too! So check out the choice picks and tell us what you think!

MG* 'Update Ya'

If you've been living under a rock and you missed the I Love New York Finale, then 'let MG* Update Ya!' Well, Tango be the block and New York's the light that keeps the streets on...LOL. Yup, Ms. NY picked Tango and told Chance "to the left, to the left!" Of course New York's mom was Happy and to our surprise Tango asked NY to marry him! Yup they're engaged. It was an interesting show to say the least, but MG* is definitely waiting on the reunion show on April 15.

Material Girl! Music Review

Well, its about that time Ladys and Gents; the time where we get to see more of Beyonce! As if she's ever left!?! Don't get us wrong we LOVE Beyonce, but whatever happened to Kelly Rowland's album? (we know, we know, its on the way...) Anywho, Ms. Knowles glamorizes the small screen this time with her Re-release of B'day. This time 'B' is giving us a video for most of the songs on the album. One word: HOT! Check out our favorite video from the re-release and don't forget to get your own copy this Tuesday, April 3rd!
