It's time for round two of Solange's solo effort. Except, this time Solange is experienced, and it SHOWS on her latest singles. With all the news that's been surrounding her in the past few years, the Solo Star puts it all into perspective in "White Picket Dreams". AND we kinda digg it. It has a cool neo-soul feel to it, but that's no surprise because Solange has been known to like neo soul artists; Q-tip hosted her 21st birthday! how cool is that?
Anyway tell us what you think... We think Solange needs to hook us up with those shoes!

Gotta Have IT: Bitten
It's our favorite city girl!! Takin over the fashion scene once again!! Only this time she's saving us $$$. Ms. Parker plans to launch a clothing line this summer that we absolutely love! It's a cross between GAP & H&M at Target prices. And speaking of prices...drumroll please...everything in this line is under $20! Yup, you read right, $20. WE AGREE SJP Fashion shouldn't be a luxury. On second thought, shoes are a luxury :)

MG* New Music Review: Eve!

Just in case you don't watch TV One daily and you actually miss Eve, the pitbull in a skirt is back! In the words of Tyra, her new single cover is fierce. As for the actual song, it's a certified club song. But, it's definitely not what we're use to from Eve. Swizz Beatz produced this track and he delivers as usual, but, Eve seems like she has come a long way from her Philly roots.
MG* needs a second opinion, what do you think?

TOP 5 VACATION SPOTS FOR SUMMER 2007
Welcome to Trinidad and Tobago, a unique Caribbean paradise. There is no place in the world quite like this tiny twin island republic of 1.3 million ethnically diverse people. Bursting with spirit and a heady mix of cultural activities, beautiful people, eco adventure and culinary delights, Trinidad and Tobago has something for everyone. Located just off the tip of Venezuela, Trinidad, the larger and livelier of the islands, is an industrial giant boasting exciting nightlife, a robust energy sector and growing manufacturing industry. (http://www.visittnt.com/about1.asp)
2. PUNTA CANA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
Play in the waves, relax under a swaying palm: one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean, the lovely Punta Cana shoreline is protected by law, ensuring that no manmade structure can detract from this natural beauty. These calm tranquil beaches are perfect for those who love to enjoy their favourite watersport, sample the great diving. Punta Cana is famous for its European style hotels and shopping for traditional local arts and crafts. Punta Cana's golf courses are second to none. (http://www.webdominicana.com/albums)
3. MONTEGO BAY, JAMAICA
Being the Second City in Jamaica is not easy; it is like being the second child in a family, not always first, not really last, but you get to wear the hand-me-down's from your older brothers or sisters. So not everything gets fixed in time, roads and other infrastructure need repair. HOWEVER we have always been the Tourism Capital of JAMAICA and nobody can take that away from us. Because the Montegonians are proud people, always different from the Kingstonians, the Big City people; we call ourselves "The Republic" and "The Friendly City" and that's what we are. (http://www.montego-bay-jamaica.com/about.htm)
4. CANCUN, MEXICO
A Cancun vacation means long stretches of white beaches leading to the bluest waters of the Caribbean Sea making it a top destination for beach lovers. The Cancun 'Hotel Zone' offers luxurious hotels that provide a great base for daytime activities such as snorkeling by the reef or lazing on the beach to an unsurpassed night of fun with some of the best nightlife in the world. Downtown Cancun is the place to go for authentic Mexican food and to see the life and culture of 'real' Mexico. Plenty of tours, nightclubs, restaurants, water sports and ancient Mayan ruins in near proximity mean there is something for everyone. (http://www.cancuncare.com)
5. SOUTH BEACH, FLORIDA
There’s no doubt that Florida makes a fun vacation destination for travelers of all disposition, but a certain type of person probably isn’t satisfied with common scenes of golf courses, beachcombing and quiet strolls along nearly-empty sidewalks. These kinds of areas are perfect for those looking to escape the madness of the world, but sometimes a different kind of madness does the job just as well. South Beach is famously filled with energy, nightlife options, celebrity sightings and beautiful people. If these are the things that would best take you away from your current situation, providing you with the kind of vacation you need to calm you down and loosen you up, there’s no place like South Beach. The type of girls that I am usually attracted to are the ones with a sense of humor, intelligent, athletic, and has a nice personality.
MG:
What turn me off are girls that are taller than me, conceited girls, and girls that smoke. Oh, I hate when girls have too much attitude. You know the type of girl that walks around angry like someone just stole their bike or something.
MG:
To go out to the girl’s favorite restaurant and to do whatever she wants to do.
MG:
I consider myself most definitely a Gentleman.
I don’t really have any bad habits. I bite my nails, but that’s as deep as it goes.
MG: Do you have something that you do behind close doors that no one knows you do?
(Sighs deeply) You have to go there, huh? Well, when I’m in the shower, I usually rap or sing a song to myself. (Laughs) I even do it in the communal bathrooms at my college.
MG: What is your most embarrassing moment in front of a girl?
I can’t say that I have ever had one of those moments. I try to stay on top of my game when I’m in the presence of ladies.
MG:
My biggest fear is failing in life.
MG:
Yeah, I love Issey Miyake cologne.
Fabolous.
MG:
Jezzy’s new song, “Go Getta”. I bang that song every time I get the chance.
My favorite food is Fried Onions with Ketchup.
Snickers.
My all-time favorite movie is “Menace To Society”.
Yeah, my hidden talent is singing. Nobody knows that I know had to sing. I also know how to juggle.
“Only the strong survive!”
My favorite animal is a tiger because they’re fast and they’re beautiful.
Myself.
MG: What is an article of clothing that you can not live without?
My Enyce™ Jeans. I love Enyce™ jeans because they are made long and they fit me right.
MG: Do you have any last words that you would want your potential date to know?
I want the girl that wins the date with me to know that I am not looking for love. Oh, and I love when girls wear stilettos.

Material Guy! Music Review
Replacement Girl byTrey Songz & Drake- This track is very radio friendly. It has the snap music influence, but it's a lot smoother. Although, the rookie rap artist on the track sounds a little like Bow Wow, he adds a little flair to the song. You can find it on Trey's myspace; www.myspace.com/treysongz. So go check it out!

LIFE ADVICE
Reasons Why Girls
By: Erica A. Nelson
1. WE ARE
WAY TOO EMOTIONAL!!
Girls try really hard to pretend that being in a relationship based solely on sexual intercourse does not bother us, BUT IT REALLY DOES! We are way too emotional and intercourse is emotional in itself! We can not handle not cuddling or having an intimate conversation after having sex. It is not in our nature. Sorry!
2. DEEP DOWN WE REALLY WANT A REAL RELATIONSHIP!
Since we were little girls, we had beaten into our heads the importance of meeting our prince charming and someday getting married and having children. We were always taught to be in a real relationship not just being someone’s sex partner you know.
3. WE ARE UNDOUBTEDLY JEALOUS!!
When it comes to relationships, girls are undoubtedly jealous and possessive. We want guys to love us more than they love their own mothers! It’s sad and kind of crazy, but true. So, if we are having sex with a guy we do not want to be considered their FRIEND!
4. WE CAN NOT TAKE SEEING OUR MAN WITH ANOTHER WOMAN!!
We can act like we don’t care that Michael is over there talking up a storm with Tina, but deep down inside we know that we are burning up. We might not outright say anything later on when Michael calls, but we will act real nonchalant and vexed until he asks “What’s wrong with you? What did I do?”

Material Guy! New Music Review: Bobby Valentino
We can't really seem to escape Timbaland's beats these days, but thats ok with us. Bobby V. hooked up with Timbaland and made a hit! At, first all of us here at MG! weren't sold on the song, but after hearing it again, the hook is contagious. It sounds a little like the new stuff we have been hearing from Justin Timberlake, except with "Anonymous" Bobby V. adds a little more flair. Check out his MySpace!

Material Guy! Music Review

Extraordinary by Ma$e- This song is sooo catchy is ridiculous! It's a good look for Ma$e considering he's been on a bit of a hiatus since his solo project. This song is kinda hot and definitely has the potential to be a summer anthem but, whatever happened to Rev. Mase? Check his Myspace
Because of You by Ne-Yo- Ne-Yo has truly has his signature sound with this song. This song picks up where his last cd left off but still manages to sound new. No set release date for the new cd but its sound like it'll be worth the wait!
Promise Not 2 Call by Ryan Leslie Ryan is proving to be the fresh new sound the industry was missing with this song. It's a good break-up or "let's move on" song. Check him and his new songs out on his MySpace
