MG* 'Update Ya': Solange Inks Deal at Geffen!

You may remember we told you about Solange's latest solo effort a while back. She release two sort of official singles Champagne.Chronic Nightcap and White Picket Dreams, both of which will be on her upcoming album Hadley Street Dreams. Since then, Solo remixed Champagne. Chronic Nightcap with Weezy F. Baby! HOT! Recently she also signed a new deal with Geffen Records and plans to drop her album in the 2nd quarter of 2008. STOP! Hammer Time!! At least according to some of the designers featured in Paris' fashion week. Spring 2008 collections were filled with 'flowy-airy' type fabrics that swing away from the silhouette. Nice, gives us room for that second scoop of ice cream! Anyway, one noticeable trend was the reincarnation of the 'Hammer Pants'. MG* 'Update Ya': The Beyonce Experience

She must be stopped! Just joking, Go "B", take over the world!!! (MG style) We just finished watching the Beyonce Experience and it was amazing! Bey gives her all and doesn't stop there. At first, we were a little weary of watching the "Experience" on the small screen but watching it just makes you wanna sing along, wish you were there. She performed every song from B'Day and then some. Without giving too much away, Beyonce even brings out some all stars to help her take over the world or the stage in this instance; Hint: think of her usual artist collabos. Yes, Bey gives you your money's worth, so go cop you a copy. Lol!

There is also a Beyonce Experience live album releasing, so just in case you Love the live version of "Irreplaceable" like us; get you a copy. Christmas present, maybe?

New Music Review: Cheri Dennis

Well, Miss Dennis is back again with her solo effort(In and Out of Love) and we kinda digg it! We especially love, "Spaced Out" It's our new anthem. It's been a while since we've heard the first lady of Bad Boy (damn that used to be Faith and before her Mary J, this girl got shoes to fill...) Anywho, the sweet-voiced Cheri really makes her mark with this song, and it's almost sad that her album isn't filled with songs like this one. Even though we are super late. How could we be a fashion/life/music/etc, etc. blog if we were not to pay homage to Liz Claiborne?!? The fashion icon of the working woman. Liz was noted for representing for the earlier generation of fashion in the workplace. A writer for the Washington Post dubs her as "The Boss of 9-5". We think she's just the BOSS! She started an empire that is carried on today by brands like Juicy Couture, Enyce, and so many more. Thanks Liz!

T.I.- So there is a God. At least we think so, MG* peeped a very bronzed T.I. in south beach at club PRIVE in Miami. We only wish that when we went to Miami it looked as good as this. [sigh]
